I am a new hire at QA Graphics in Ankeny, IA. They do everything dealing with graphics including website design which I have always been interested in. I want to be a real asset to them and I want to invest in myself and learn lots of different design mediums. I love graphic design and am so excited that I have a real opportunity to advance in that field, what better way to put yourself out there as a designer than on the web?! I know very little about HTML and CSS but I have used Dreamweaver to create a really crappy website once...like a child running with scissors. I want to go back and learn the basics and then re-approach Dreamweaver and other cool programs to build the ultimate website and maybe eventually market myself on the web.
Some of my favorite websites are youtube.com, facebook.com, hulu.com, and corbis.com. I like Youtube and Facebook because you can connect to other people, share things, and keep up to speed on what other people are doing so easily...with little effort on my part. I like Hulu because watching my favorite episodes for free is awesome. I love Corbis because I create a lot of artwork and it helps me get ideas and there are just a lot of neat things to look at.
